There are no official entry requirements for the Level 2 NVQ Diploma in Associated Industrial Occupations. However, there is an initial assessment of candidates’ skills and knowledge.

Assessments
​
The assessment for this qualification is competency based. This means that all candidates are required to demonstrate a certain degree of competence throughout all units. As well, they must show a satisfactory degree of skill, knowledge, and understanding in order to meet the standards laid out for each unit and qualification.

The assessment of this qualification is judged in accordance to the ConstructionSkills’ Consolidated Assessment Strategy for Construction and Built Environment.

As well as showing a strength of skill and understanding, candidates must also show a portfolio that shows evidence of demonstrable achievements made throughout the units. This portfolio may include everything from witness testimony, reports, projects, assignments, and even observation reports from assessors.

​
The total qualification time for this Level 2 NVQ Diploma in Associated Industrial Occupations- Passive Fire Occupations is 820 hours, depend on the candidate.
