
LEVEL 2 NVQ DIPLOMA IN PLASTERING
The Level 2 NVQ Diploma in Plastering qualification is built to offer candidates a qualification that is nationally recognized by those working within the construction industry. This qualification allows successful candidates specialize in plastering following one of four paths (solid, fibrous, Heritage - solid, or Heritage - fibrous.)
The awarding body of this qualification of the ProQual Awarding Body, and the Office of Qualifications and Examinations Regulation are the regulatory body.

Entry Requirements

While there are no formal entry requirements for this Level 2 qualification, there is a suggested initial assessment. This assessment gives a good reading of the candidate’s skills and knowledge, which helps with the planning of the assessments.

M/508/6537: Conforming to general health, safety and welfare in the workplace, Level 1
T/508/6538: Conforming to productive working practices in the workplace, Level 2
Y/508/6533: Moving, handling and storing resources in the workplace, Level 2

Each of the different paths of this Level 2 diploma comes with their own suggested, or optional units.

Different Pathways
​
With the Level 2 NVQ Diploma in Plastering there are four different pathways that a candidate can choose to follow. They are NVQ Diploma in Plastering (Solid), NVQ Diploma in Plastering (Fibrous), NVQ Diploma in Plastering (Heritage Plastering - Solid), and NVQ Diploma in Plastering (Heritage Plastering - Fibrous).

Assessments
​
The competency-based assessments of this qualification are built so that candidates can display a level of competence as described within the units. These assessments are build to measure the candidate’s skills, knowledge, and basic understanding of the standards set out in the qualification.
Alongside these assessments, candidates will also need to produce a portfolio of evidence meant to demonstrate all of their learning from each unit. These portfolios can consist of observation reports by assessors, assignments, projects/reports, witness testimony, record of oral and written questioning, or recognition of Prior Learning.

The total qualification time of this Level 2 Diploma is 560 hours.
