
LEVEL 2 DIPLOMA IN DECORATIVE FINISHING AND INDUSTRIAL PAINTING OCCUPATIONS
This qualification provides successful candidates with a nationally recognized qualification for working in piling operations within the booming construction industry. This Diploma also opens up three different pathways for successful candidates to follow and develop roles within.
The ProQual Awarding Body is the awarding body of this qualification, while the regulatory body is the Office of Qualifications and Examinations Regulation. This qualification has also been accredited onto the Regulated Qualifications Framework, and can be found published on Ofqual’s Register of Qualifications.

Entry Requirements
​
There are no formal requirements for entry of this qualification. However, there are internal assessments of each candidates’ skills and knowledge in order to identify any information or education gaps, and to better plan an assessment.

T/508/6538: Conforming to productive working practices in the workplace, Level 2
A/615/1609: Erecting and dismantling access/working platforms in the workplace, Level 2
A/615/2209: Preparing surfaces for painting/decorating in the workplace,
Level 2
T/615/2210: Applying paint systems by brush and roller in the workplace,
Level 2

Different Pathways
​
This qualification has three different pathways candidates can follow: Painter, Industrial Painter, and Heritage Painter.

Assessments
​
The assessments of this qualification are competence-based. This means each candidate must demonstrate a certain level of competence as described within the units. The candidates’ skills, knowledge, and understanding are judged against the standards that have been set for the qualification.
Each candidate must provide a portfolio of evidence which will demonstrate their successful completion of each unit.
​
This portfolio may include observation report by assessor, assignments/reports, professional discussion, worksheets, or witness testimony, as well as others.
​
Duration
​
This qualification lasts 12-14 weeks (minimum), depend on the candidate.
